The Alumnus of the Year award honors an LCC Alumni who exemplifies servant leadership and has made significant contributions to the Coastal Bend. This recognition highlights individuals who continue to elevate our community through civic involvement, professional excellence, and meaningful service. Each honoree reflects the very best of what LCC stands for—vision, action, and heart. We celebrate their accomplishments and the inspiring example they set for future leaders.
Nomination Period: Open through March 15th
All nominations will be reviewed and voted on by the LCC Alumni Association Board of Directors. The 2026 Alumnus of the Year will be publicly announced on March 31, 2026, and formally recognized at the Annual Meeting on May 22, 2026.

Strong nominations include specific examples, measurable impact, and personal insight. When possible, share concrete stories, leadership roles, or outcomes that demonstrate how the nominee embodies servant leadership, community stewardship, and continued engagement with Leadership Corpus Christi.

This year, Leadership Corpus Christi proudly honors Ken Treviño.
A proud graduate of LCC Class 27, Ken has remained deeply committed to the program through decades of leadership and service, including roles as Steering Committee Chair for Class 30, LCCA Chair from 2006 to 2007, and Co-Chair of the LCC Advisory Committee.
Ken exemplifies the spirit of servant leadership and community trusteeship, continually living out the values of Leadership Corpus Christi by pouring into others, mentoring future leaders, and advancing the strength and spirit of our community.
Ken Treviño serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Workforce Solutions Coastal Bend, where he leads efforts to strengthen the region’s economy by connecting people to meaningful careers and helping businesses build a skilled workforce. Under his leadership, Workforce Solutions delivers workforce development, training, and employer services across seven career centers serving the 11-county Coastal Bend region.
Since joining the organization in 2010, Treviño has been a driving force behind initiatives that align education, industry, and community resources to create real opportunity for individuals and long-term success for employers. Known for his approachable leadership style and genuine investment in people, he prioritizes relationships, whether mentoring future leaders, collaborating with partners, or engaging directly with the community he serves.
Before his tenure at Workforce Solutions Coastal Bend, Treviño served as Executive Vice President of the Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Texas at San Antonio and has completed advanced leadership training through the Institute for Organization Management at Loyola Marymount University-Los Angeles and the Economic Development Institute at the University of Oklahoma.
A deeply committed community leader, Treviño actively serves on numerous local, state, and national boards, contributing his expertise to organizations focused on economic development, education, healthcare, and workforce advancement. His service reflects a longstanding dedication to strengthening the Coastal Bend and expanding opportunities for all who call it home.
Treviño is a proud husband and father, and he remains grounded in the belief that strong communities are built through connection, service, and shared purpose.
